LoL: Allstars event

Post by YourTasteInWomen on April 19th 2013, 7:47 am

So I don't care too much for all of the voting shit and the blatant popularity contest that was going on previous to the teams being decided, although I did vote a single time in the EU side of it, and I am pleased to say that a whole ONE person I voted for got into the team (YES s0AZ, fnatic ftw) I also watched a couple of vids about some of the pro players making their choices although I think the only remotely entertaining part of that was hearing Cop vote for Doublelift because he wants to see him get shat on by the EU botlane xD

Anyway the lineup from NA and EU has been decided after the votes and are as follows:

North America
Saintvicious (Curse)
Scarra (Team Dignitas)
Dyrus (TSM Snapdragon)
Xpecial (TSM Snapdragon)
Doublelift (Counter Logic Gaming)

Europe
Diamondprox (Gambit BenQ)
Alex Ich (Gambit BenQ)
sOAZ (Fnatic)
EDward (Gambit BenQ)
Yellowpete (EG Raidcall)

From what I can gather, none of the asian teams have been decided yet. Also, tbh I don't have much of an opinion on these teams other than gl EU and Alex Ich hf translating for dayyyyyyyssss, I know EDward and Diamond have been practicing their english but I can see it still being an issue xD

On top of all this apparently there are plans in the week to have a piece where individual lanes face of against each other from different teams on a 1v1/2v2 map "released" in this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv22B2C0V9M

It is in fact, a leak. However riot have half confirmed this shit is happening, however have said that there was never any plan to incorporate it into anything other than this event despite interest being noted.

"Hey guys – since this is getting a ton of attention, I thought I’d pop in to share a few details:
This ‘first blood’ map was dreamed up by some Rioters who wanted to make an awesome 1v1/2v2 map JUST for the All-Star game. They brewed it up during the ‘Thunderdome,’ which is a regular all-night hackathon Riot holds to explore cool new stuff.
Wickd vs SoAZ’s 1v1 extravaganza was awesome to watch and got me even more hyped up for this event at the All-Star game.
Because it was created solely with the idea of using it in the All-Star game, it’s not something that we have any concrete plans for besides the event." [Redbeard - RiotGames]

The video itself comes from Tencent, which is a Chinese investment holding company responsible for Riot's holding in China so can pretty much be called the Chinese branch of Riot.
